      The Vault
      Beta Ionone Natural Isolate
Adam Michael has this to say “The aroma in the opening is full of parma violet candy nuances and this leads onto a heart of chalky, dry woody, cold sweet floral and fruity character. The base notes are again parma violet candies, orris floral, dry cedar woody, powdery, with somewhat foody nuances and a very pleasant play-doh vanilla sweet character.
      Ionone Beta
Like the alpha this has the characteristic scent of violets but, Ionone Beta is fruitier in character and one of the components of the aroma of berry fruits. Perhaps surprisingly it is also an essential component of the scent of roses and in recreation of freesia.

      Ionone beta
The beta isomer can be used instead, or more commonly alongside the alpha in many circumstances and appears in the headspace of many flowers, though in most cases as a minor constituent. Arctander suggests other uses: “It finds its way more into fragrances rich in woody notes, including those employing newer derivatives of Cyclohexanol, etc. It is also more widely used in lipstick fragrances on account of its compatibility with fruity fragrance materials.”

Odor: characteristic
Use: Adam Michael has this to say “The aroma in the opening is full of parma violet candy nuances and this leads onto a heart of chalky, dry woody, cold sweet floral and fruity character. The base notes are again parma violet candies, orris floral, dry cedar woody, powdery, with somewhat foody nuances and a very pleasant play-doh vanilla sweet character.

Ionone Beta
Odor: characteristic
Use: Like the alpha this has the characteristic scent of violets but, Ionone Beta is fruitier in character and one of the components of the aroma of berry fruits. Perhaps surprisingly it is also an essential component of the scent of roses and in recreation of freesia.

Ionone beta
Odor: Floral-violet, woody, sweet, fruity-raspberry, green
Use: The beta isomer can be used instead, or more commonly alongside the alpha in many circumstances and appears in the headspace of many flowers, though in most cases as a minor constituent. Arctander suggests other uses: “It finds its way more into fragrances rich in woody notes, including those employing newer derivatives of Cyclohexanol, etc. It is also more widely used in lipstick fragrances on account of its compatibility with fruity fragrance materials.”
