      Olibanum Essential oil Somalia
Frankincense is the exudate of a bush that grows along the Red Sea and is considered the oldest perfume in the world. The Boswellia carterii tree is the most widespread source of frankincense used in perfumery. Long utilized as a purifying fumigation in religious rituals, it adds a heavenly touch to perfume compositions with its woody, slightly spicy notes. En savoir plus : Frankincense is collected in the frankincense valleys of Somalia. Such as benzoin, collectors incise the frankincense trees to cause the gum-resin to flow from the trunk. The substance hardens in the open air. A few days later, collectors gather the “tears” of solidified frankincense. These hardened droplets are sorted to remove impurities, then dried. They come in different shades of yellow and their size ranges from a few millimeters to approximately two centimeters (one inch).

      Frankincense Serrata ORGANIC
Adam Michael has this to say “Frankincense serrata aroma is rich resinous, pine cone, dry woody, dry pine, with a lemony finish. This aroma sums up the aromatic environment of smelling a pine tree (maybe P. nigra) in the Summer, the sunshine warming the tree, and in turn the tree gives off that robust resinous aroma that saturates the air.

      Frankincense Carteri CO-OPERATIVE PROJECT
Adam Michael has this to say “I buy all my frankincense carteri material from the Somalia Co-Operative project. The man behind this project has my utmost respect and admiration. He wants to make a difference and looking in his eyes this is not sales patter, it’s true, it’s heartfelt, he gives a damn about others, he is sick of the Somalia politics which is seeing a very few get very rich by controlling the sale of frankincense species. He wants the wealth to go to the right people and we can now all help and get a good deal in the process. This material has an alpha-pinene content at under 35%, it is produced from grade one tears, is an aromatic and chemically superior product compared to most carteri species on the market and best of all, the money spent buying this material helps better the life’s of 43 families.”

      Frankincense Sacra Essential Oil
Adam Michael has this to say “Despite what many businesses say about frankincense sacra the truth is no morphological differences exist between Boswellia carterii and Boswellia sacra, they are from the same species.

      Incense Wood Essential Oil
Adam Michael has this to say “This is such a gorgeous material produced by co-extraction of frankincense sacra gum with Virginian cedarwood, honey yellow in colour and of a pourable viscosity. The idea of co extracting the two materials is one thing but the execution and outcome is beyond perfection and I can’t sing the praises of this aromatic enough. The frankincense has such a cosy, warm, balanced quality with fruity fresh lemon peel top notes.

Olibanum EO France (material origin Somalia)
Odor: terpenic, balsamic
Use: The Olibanum is considered as being the oldest perfume of the world, the Egyptians 2500 years before JC already used it during their sacred ceremonies. The olfactive qualities of the essential oil of Olibanum are numerous and very rich, it is also an excellent fixative in the compositions.
Bristol Botanicals
Frankincense essential oil Boswellia carterii, Somalia
Camden-Grey Essential Oils
Frankincense essential oil
Odor: characteristic
Use: Some of its properties are antiseptic, astringent, cicatrisant, diuretic, digestive, uterine and sedative. Slows down breathing and produces feelings of calm. Ideally used for meditation. Like most other oils extracted from resins, frankincense is effective for respiratory catarrhal discharge and respiratory congestion. Used in inhalations, it may be helpful for asthma sufferers as it eases shortness of breath. Its astringent properties may relieve uterine hemorrhages, as well as heavy periods and generally acts as a tonic to the uterus. Its cytophylactic properties make it an ideal oil for mature, wrinkled skin in need of a lift.

Frankincense Carteri CO-OPERATIVE PROJECT
Odor: characteristic
Use: Adam Michael has this to say “I buy all my frankincense carteri material from the Somalia Co-Operative project.

Use: Adam Michael has this to say “Despite what many businesses say about frankincense sacra the truth is no morphological differences exist between Boswellia carterii and Boswellia sacra, they are from the same species.

Frankincense Serrata ORGANIC
Odor: characteristic
Use: Adam Michael has this to say “Frankincense serrata aroma is rich resinous, pine cone, dry woody, dry pine, with a lemony finish. This aroma sums up the aromatic environment of smelling a pine tree (maybe P. nigra) in the Summer, the sunshine warming the tree, and in turn the tree gives off that robust resinous aroma that saturates the air.

Incense Wood Essential Oil
Odor: characteristic
Use: Adam Michael has this to say “This is such a gorgeous material produced by co-extraction of frankincense sacra gum with Virginian cedarwood, honey yellow in colour and of a pourable viscosity. The idea of co extracting the two materials is one thing but the execution and outcome is beyond perfection and I can’t sing the praises of this aromatic enough. The frankincense has such a cosy, warm, balanced quality with fruity fresh lemon peel top notes.
