Cassia Oil is steam distilled from the leaves of Cinnamomum Cassia, large slender trees which grow in the southeastern parts of China and, to a minor extent, in Viet-Nam and India. tsca definition 2008: extractives and their physically modified derivatives. cinnamomum cassia, lauraceae. the tree which is known for its bark which is sold as cinnamon. the oil contains about 65-80% cinnamaldehyde and 10% eugenol and many terpenes.
