      Sandalwood Essential oil India
Indian sandalwood, or white sandalwood, is one of the oldest perfumes in the world, used as incense since ancient times. The fragrant wood of this small tree, found primarily in India, Indonesia, and Sri Lanka, is the source of sandalwood essential oil, extracted by steam distillation. Indian sandalwood is of the Santalum album species. Though very close to New Caledonian sandalwood Santalum austrocaledonicum in composition, it has different, spicier olfactory nuances. The sweet, balsamic, woody fragrance is softened by a creamy, milky note. Used as incense in religious rites, sandalwood is mentioned in the sacred Sanskrit texts and Chinese manuscripts from four millennia ago. Some temples were even made with this wood, along with fragrant sculptures of deities.

      Sandalwood Mysore Essential Oil
Adam Michael has this to say “Indian sandalwood essential oil has a calming effect and is wonderful for relieving chest infections. Very useful in massage for treating sore throats. Sandalwood has long had a reputation as an aphrodisiac. It is an intimate perfume, in distinction to most other essential oils, largely because of its very slow rate of evaporation, which means that one has to be quite close to smell it at all (except in the case of when its being evaporated in which case it can be quite pervasive).

Sandalwood Essential oil India
Odor: sweet, balsamic, woody
Use: Indian sandalwood, or white sandalwood, is one of the oldest perfumes in the world, used as incense since ancient times.

Odor: sweet woody balsamic
Use: In Eastern Religious Traditions, Sandalwood has long been used as ritual oil to bless congregations and to achieve higher consciousness in meditation during religious rites of Hindus, Buddhists, Parsees and Moslems. For the past four centuries, Sandalwood oil has been popular as an aphrodisiac thus boosting its use for sensual message, aromatherapy and fragrance; including cosmetic & soap.

Sandalwood Mysore Essential Oil
Odor: characteristic
Use: Adam Michael has this to say “Indian sandalwood essential oil has a calming effect and is wonderful for relieving chest infections.
