Odor: characteristic
Use: Adam Michael has this to say “Petitgrain mandarinier is a truly unique aromatic experience. This material is produced by steam distilling the leaves of the Citrus reticulata tree, the fruit of which produces mandarin essential oil in its varying forms. The aroma is bitter mandarin fruity, very fruit-leathery, with shoe polish notes. The heart note smells of new leather, salted cashew nuts, mandarins, with animalic and sweet grape undertones.

Odor: characteristic
Use: Mandarin Petitgrain oil originates from the Corsica Mandarin tress. The leaves are steam distilled leaving an intense, sweet, citrus, floral aroma. It's believed that Mandarin Petitgrain oil helps to calm emotions and combat stress and anxiety. In natural perfumery, Petitgrain Mandarin oil adds a crisp top note in to any blend.

IFRA fragrance material specification:
The following essential oils contain small amounts of phototoxic furocoumarins. These levels are not high enough to require special restrictions if used alone, but if used in combination with one or the other phototoxic essential oil, attention should be paid that the total level of bergapten (5-MOP) in the consumer product does not exceed 15 ppm. It is the responsibility of fragrance manufacturers to ensure that the level is observed. Typical levels of 5-MOP are the following: Petitgrain Mandarin oil - 50 ppm.
