Use: Adam Michael this to say “The aroma of hibawood oil has a young Virginian cedarwood aura about it, dry sweet, very dusty, pencil shaving nuances throughout and for me alone I detect a gloopy fleeting chocolate character comparable to what I find when smelling Amyris balsamifera.

Among numerous varieties of thuja all over the world is the Japanese Thuja Dolobrata. This tree grows also in certain parts of Asia and in the southern parts of the U.S. S. R. In Japan, the leaves and the wood are used for the distillation of the oil.
