This very interesting and extremely potent material is produced by steam distillation of the comminuted roots of Levistictum Officinale, a man size herb related to angclica and pimpinella. The herb grows wild in central and southern Europe and is cultivated in numerous countries: Belgium, Czechoslovakia, France, Germany, Holland, Hungary and Yugoslavia.
