Eucalyptus dives (Broadleaf Peppermint or Peppermint Eucalyptus)
Odor: characteristic
Use: Eucalyptus dives, or broad-leaved peppermint, is a small tree native to temperate, dry, sclerophyll woodlands and forests of South-Eastern Australia. The piperitone chemotype of Eucalyptus dives has a peppermint like flavor and aroma. It's commonly distilled for piperitone, which is used in the production of synthetic menthol. Eucalyptus dives oil has a very camphoraceous, minty, fresh aroma.
