Use: Pink pepper can come from two different trees native to the Reunion island: the schinus molle and the schinus terebenthifolius. The berries, also called “bourbon pepper” or “false pepper”, turn pink when they mature. Pink Pepper has a sweet and sharp flavour very much appreciated in cooking and is often used as an alternative to Black Pepper in perfumery.
