Use: is an excellent base alcohol for esterification, ethoxylation, propoxylation, and other reaction chemistries. It\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s extremely low melt point (0 degrees c) makes it much easier to work with than even lower molecular weight linear alcohols. This results in down stream products with unique functional characteristics. JARCOL I-20 is synthetically derived providing essentially pure material with reduced side reaction impurities.

Jarcol™ I-20CG
Odor: characteristic
Use: An excellent base alcohol and emollient. It's extremely low melt point (0 degrees C) makes it much easier to work with than even lower molecular weight linear alcohols. Additionally the higher molecular weight and purity means that it is"water white" with no "fatty" odor and can be used in color and fragrance sensitive applications.
