Use: Is an excellent base alcohol for esterification, ethoxylation, propoxylation, and other reaction chemistries. It\'s extremely low melt point (-30 degrees c) makes it much easier to work with than traditional C12-C14 alcohols and results in down stream products with unique functional characteristics. JARCOL I-12 is synthetically derived providing essentially pure material with reduced side reaction impurities.
