Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale L.) is mainly collected in Europe. The roots are harvested, cleaned and if necessary comminuted, aqueously extracted (maceration/percolation) and filtrated. The filtrate is concentrated by distillation, prepared in a mixture of propylene glycol, water and preservatives and clear filtrated after an individual ripening time. 1 kg Extrapone® Dandelion contains the aqueous soluble ingredients of approx. 0.07 kg dried dandelion roots.
