Use: Extrapone® Stinging Nettle contains the extract of dried stinging nettle leaves prepared in propylene glycol, water and preservatives. Stinging nettles (Urtica Dioica L.) used for our Extrapone® are mainly collected in Eastern Europe. The stinging nettle leaves are harvested, cleaned and if necessary comminuted, aqueously extracted (maceration/percolation) and filtrated. The filtrate is concentrated by distillation, prepared in a mixture of propylene glycol, water and preservative and clear filtrated after an individual ripening time. 1 kg Extrapone® Stinging Nettle contains the aqueous soluble ingredients of approx. 0.2 kg dried respectively of approx. 1.1 kg fresh stinging nettle leaves. Dried plant material - extract (Extrapone® Stinging Nettle) - ratio: 0.2 : 1. Fresh plant material - extract (Extrapone® Stinging Nettle) - ratio: 1.1 : 1

Use: Nettle is a plant in the Urticaceae family that is more commonly known as urtica dioica, or stinging nettle.Nettle is a perennial flowering plant that has been used medicinally for ages, dating back as far as Ancient Greece.Today, nettle can be found all over the world, but its origins are in the colder regions of Europe and Asia. While best known for the stinging reaction that occurs when the skin comes into contact with the fine hairs located on its leaves and stems.Traditionally used as a nutritive and “blood cleanser” or alterative agent, a substantial pharmacological and clinical literature supports its use for arthritic and allergic symptoms and improving urological symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia.
