Use: Avocado oil nourishes and restores dry, dehydrated, and mature skin. This is a rich, heavy oil that is best blended with other carrier oils. Use: The main cultivation areas of avocado plants (Persea americana) are South Africa, Kenya and Mexico. Avocado oil is obtained from the fruit of the avocado plants that contains approx. 70 % of the fatty oil. The oil is won by mechanical pressing of the avocado fruit and following refining. 1 kg Avocado Oil contains the lipophilic ingredients of approx. 9 kg fresh avocado fruits. AVOCADO OIL
Odor: characteristic
Use: Avocado oil has a higher viscosity than olive oil, and texturally is more pleasant than all other oils. The edible pulp of the avocado, which surrounds the seed, contains from 8 to 30% of a non-drying oil. Oil is separated by dehydrating the pulp, then pressing or extracting with solvents. The oil is used in cosmetics, and to some extent in salad dressings.
