Use: 4-Methylpyrazole is a competitive inhibitor of alcohol dehydrogenase, which catalyzes metabolism of ethylene glycol and methanol to toxic metabolites. It is used as an antidote for ethylene glycol or methanol poisoning. It may be used alone or in combina 4-Methylpyrazole is used as an antidote for ethylene glycol or methanol poisoning. It also inhibits CYP2E1 activity.
