Actipone® Honey Locust Wood
Odor: characteristic
Use: Actipone® Honey Locust Wood contains the extract of Gleditsia triacanthos L. wood prepared in propylene glycol and water. Honey Locust trees used for our Actipone® are mainly cultivated and wild collected in Europe. The wood is dried, if necessary comminuted, extracted with a blend of water and ethanol and filtrated. The filtrate is concentrated by distillation and thereby the ethanol is completely removed. The concentrated extract is prepared in a mixture of water, propylene glycol and preservatives and filtrated after an individual ripening time. Actipone® Honey Locust Wood shows anti-aging (increase of sirtuin SIRT1 protein expression), anti-irritant, anti-oxidant and skin firming properties (in vitro).
