This unique variety, from Thailand, has slightly different characteristics, including a slightly darker color.   Attar of Oud, distilled in Sandalwood, is a lower priced alternative to Agarwood oil. Attar of Oud can be used in many different blends, perfumes, and custom products. The notes are woody, animalic, leather, and rich. Agarofurans are confirmed at nearly two percent and the confirmation of eudesmols valerianol, eromol, hinesol, oxoagarospirol, and 9, 11 -eremophiladien-8-one are all indicitive of a good agarwood fingerprint.
